What we do
This is a film club for refugees and asylum seekers resident in the Lancaster district. The club is open to all and acts as a safe place where asylum seekers and refugees can meet and get to know each other and local residents. Through the club people are encouraged to form friendships and support each other. The club also acts as a place where language skills can be improved but the overall aim is to get people together to enjoy classic and fun English language films and films from different cultures.
Films are shown monthly at two locations in Lancaster and further locations will be added in the future. You can find out which films are scheduled by visisting the Films, Venues and Times page.
There is no cost for watching the films, but a pay what you feel donation system operates and this will help the club develop and allow more films to be added to the roster and keep the club thriving.
